From infancy through second grade, students engage in a comprehensive curriculum that supports cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and spiritual development. In addition to meeting developmental milestones, our students are introduced to advanced learning opportunities designed to foster critical thinking, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.

Beginning as early as age one, children participate in age-appropriate instruction in early phonemic awareness, Spanish, Performing and Visual Arts, and foundational elementary-level concepts, including our S.T.E.A.M.+ program. Through intentional teaching and hands-on exploration, we challenge young learners to reach their full potential while building a strong academic foundation grounded in Christian values.

At Benjamin Preparatory School, Chapel is more than a weekly gathering—it is a cherished tradition and the highlight of the week for many of our students. Every Thursday, children eagerly come together to praise, worship, and celebrate their Heavenly Father, whether dressed in their school uniforms or their favorite “Team Jesus” jerseys.

Our Chapel experience reflects the joy expressed in Psalm 122:1:

"I rejoiced with those who said to me, 'Let us go to the house of the LORD.'"

Through this student-centered worship experience, children are encouraged to actively participate in prayer, praise, worship, and biblical learning. Chapel provides meaningful opportunities for students to deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ, experience the presence of the Holy Spirit, and develop a personal understanding of faith.

As students grow in their knowledge of God's Word and discover their identity in Christ, they learn that the Church is not simply a building—it is a community of believers called to love, serve, and reflect Christ in the world. At BPS, Chapel helps nurture hearts of worship, strengthen spiritual foundations, and inspire children to live out their faith with confidence and purpose.

At Powerhouse Preparatory School, the performing arts are an integral part of developing the whole child. Through artistic expression, students gain the confidence to communicate their ideas, explore their emotions, and discover their unique God-given gifts. Participation in the arts has been shown to strengthen cognitive development, enhance language and communication skills, foster collaboration, and build self-esteem. Just as importantly, it cultivates creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, discipline, and self-reflection—skills that serve students well both inside and outside the classroom.

A hallmark of the Powerhouse Preparatory School experience is our bi-annual Fine Arts Production. Each original production is thoughtfully written to address themes relevant to today's children while reinforcing biblical principles and positive character development. These performances provide students with meaningful opportunities to apply what they have learned, develop confidence in front of an audience, and experience the rewards of teamwork and perseverance.

Throughout the year, students participate in instruction in tap, ballet, inspired movement, hip hop, liturgical dance, music, and Bible. These classes are intentionally designed to nurture artistic excellence, spiritual growth, and personal development. Through the performing arts, students learn to use their talents with purpose—honoring God, serving others, and making a positive impact on the world around them.

Throughout the year, families are invited to participate in our signature Parent Powerhouse Events, which celebrate connection, community, and shared experiences. From our beloved Grandparents' Luncheon and Mother's Day Jazz Brunch to the Iron Man Breakfast and Superheroes Challenge honoring fathers, each event creates meaningful opportunities for families to engage in their child's educational journey.

Additional favorites include our Family Talent Showcase, International Night of Food and Fashion, Date Night Unlimited events, Back-to-School BBQ, and many other family-centered celebrations that foster fellowship, cultural appreciation, and lasting memories.
